- Membership data — plan chosen, subscription status, and payment references. Card numbers are handled by Razorpay; we do not store full card details.

We do not seek caste, religion, sexual orientation, or other sensitive data as a condition of using the website. Please do not send such information unless it is necessary for a specific request you initiate.
3. How we use data

- To verify email, keep you signed in, and protect accounts against abuse.
- To process subscriptions and confirm payments with Razorpay.
- To send service messages (receipts, verification, membership status). Marketing email is sent only if you opt in (for example newsletter).
- To improve editorial products, diagnose faults, and keep the Services secure.
- To comply with law, court orders, or regulator requests.
4. Legal basis
We process personal data because it is needed to perform a contract with you (account and membership), because you consent (newsletter, optional cookies where required), because we have a legitimate interest in running a secure news service, or because the law requires it.
5. Cookies
Essential cookies keep you logged in, protect forms (CSRF), and remember session choices. Analytics or advertising cookies, if enabled, help us understand reach. You can block non-essential cookies in your browser; the site may then lose login or preference features.
6. Sharing
We share data only as needed:
- Payment: Razorpay, to create and verify orders. Amounts are confirmed on our server; the browser cannot set the charge.
- Sign-in: Google, if you choose Continue with Google.
- Hosting and operations: infrastructure providers who process data on our instructions.
- Law: when required by Indian law or to protect rights, users, or the public.
We do not sell personal data.
7. Storage and security
Data is stored in India or in facilities used to run the Services, with access limited to people who need it. Transmission over the internet is not perfectly secure; we use HTTPS, hashed passwords, and access controls, and we will notify you of a personal-data breach as required by law.
8. How long we keep data
Account data is kept while the account is open and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal, tax, and dispute purposes. Payment records are kept as required under Indian company and tax law. Server logs are rotated on a shorter cycle. You can delete your account at any time — see Delete your account for the steps and what is kept; some records may be retained where the law requires.
9. Children
The Services are intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children for membership. A parent or guardian should contact us if they believe a child has submitted data.
10. Your rights
Subject to law, you may request access, correction, or erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent for optional processing, and complain to the Data Protection Board of India. Email [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify you. We may need to verify identity before acting.
11. Other websites
Articles and the player may link to YouTube, social networks, or other sites. Their privacy practices are their own. Once you leave jaihindtv.in we are not responsible for those sites.
12. Our mobile apps
The Jaihind TV app for Android and iOS is covered by this policy. In addition to the data described above, the app may process:
- Push notification token — a device token issued by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send breaking-news alerts. You can turn notifications off in the app or in your device settings at any time.
- Microphone and voice search — only when you start a voice search. The recording is passed to your device's speech recognition service (Google on Android, Apple on iOS) to convert it to text. We receive the resulting search words; we do not record or store your audio.
- Camera and photo library — only when you choose to set a profile picture. The single image you pick is uploaded to your account. We cannot browse your library or use the camera in the background.
- Device and app information — app version, device model, operating system and language, used to deliver content, diagnose faults and keep the service secure.
- On-device storage — saved and offline articles, reading preferences and appearance settings are kept on your device. Bookmarks are also linked to your account so they follow you across devices.
The app contains no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Permissions are requested only when you first use the related feature, and the app stays usable if you decline.
You can delete your account and its data from inside the app (Profile → Delete account) or on the web at Delete your account.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy for future visits. Material changes to membership processing will be notified to registered users where practical.
